ECM Charitable Fund Presents “Blessings From Above”.
The birth of a baby is one of life’s most precious events. The excitement and anticipation that surrounds the arrival of a newborn is a time to remember and cherish.
Eliza Coffee Memorial has been the Birthplace of the Shoals for many generations, and we are privileged to share in the joy of this special time. “With the “Blessings from Above Wall,” we now have a way for parents, grandparents, relatives and friends to commemorate this special event by honoring or memorializing the babies born at ECM with a plaque,” said Cynthia Briand, Director of the ECM Charitable Fund.
For a gift of $100, your plaque will be etched with the baby’s name, birth date and actual footprint. Each plaque will be displayed for all families and guests to see on the Baby Wall located in the Women’s Pavilion. An etched crystal clear glass medallion is also available for an additional $25.00. This medallion is commonly used as a Christmas ornament or sun-catcher.
The Blessings From Above Wall also serves as a memorial for children who remain with their families in memory only. Memorial plaques are etched in pure white and include the name, birth date, date of death and a foot print if desired.
Baby Wall plaques may be purchased for anyone born at ECM…regardless of the year; the first plaque placed on the wall was for CEO Carl Bailey who was born at ECM in 1947! Simply send the name, date of birth and footprint, if you have one, to the ECM Charitable Fund. “This is a delightful way to pay tribute to a friend or loved one and support a worthy cause,” added Briand.
Funds received for the Baby Wall are used to enhance services, programs and to make equipment purchases for the Women’s Pavilion and the Children’s Center at ECM. For more information about the Baby Wall or to place an order please contact the ECM Charitable Fund at 768-9141.
