Because of the generosity and foresight that began with our founders and has continued with strong leadership and committed employees throughthe years, Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital has grown to become recognized as the area’s premiere healthcare provider and a Top 100 Hospital in the Nation for Performance Improvement.

The ECM Charitable Fund’s success is dependant upon community leaders who recognize the importance of our founding principle - quality healthcare and its availability to everyone in need of our services.

Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital was founded with a monetary donation from the General John Coffee family in memory of their beloved daughter, Eliza. In this same tradition, The Eliza Coffee Memorial Charitable Fundhas been created as a way for area citizens, corporations and foundations to participate in continuing to help meet the local healthcare needs of our community by contributing funds to support and enhance the Hospital’s programs and services and its community of caregivers.

ECM has grown from a small, two-story structure to a state-of-the art, 372 bed regional medical center. Over our 80 plus year history we have continued to develop and expand programs and services that allow residents to remain within our community for their healthcare needs. This now includes a full service heart program, three critical care units, OB/GYN services through our Women’s Pavilion, full service emergency department, the latest in surgical technology in our 13 surgical suites, oncology, pulmonology, pediatrics and general medicine services.
