It's no secret that the past few years have been financially challenging for hospitals across the country and our experiences here at ECM have been no different. The continued decline in reimbursement from both the government and private insurers has had significant impact on virtually all healthcare providers. And, at ECM, we were forced to make some extremely tough decisions that were necessary for our survival. Now, with diligent attention to productivity and expense controls, we have right-sized and achieved a positive bottom line.
